Altina is probably axed, and here's why

First of all, Happy New Year, and sorry for the click baity title. Next, I don't have definite proof that Altina has been axed, just conjunctures. Yukiya Murasak might release the Altina V15 tomorrow and prove me wrong, so this post is just about my thought process on this matter.

The last volume of Altina was published in Sep 2018. No releases for 16 months, so it's probably dead. However, there is still hope. An example of a series reviving after a long hiatus would be Oregairu

Vol 11 of Oregairu released on June 2015, while vol 12 came out on Sep 2017, 27 months apart.
So such exceptions are possible. But there is a key difference between these two series. Oregairu is incredibly popular, Altina is not.

And during those 2 gap years, Oregairu's author Wataru Watari worked primarily on this series that grew even more popular with the airing of the anime. On the other hand, Yukiya Murasak has been working on another series after Sep 2018: How not to summon a demon lord.

Yukiya has been working on both series concurrently for the past few years, and it is clear that Demon Lord is more popular, and is a genre with a wider audience. Isekai, slaves, OP MC. Now that it has taken off, it makes more sense to focus on this series. And he is also working on another series, 14 years old and illustrator

The fact that she is 14 is so important that it is the first thing in the title.

Basically, this is a Rom-Com published in 2016 when Oregairu was on hiatus. Coincidence? Probably. Anyway, the next thing I want to bring up is the synergy of all the author's series. If you read something you like, you will probably check out the author's other works since it might be to your taste too. So both series will boost the readers of each other, and help with each other's sales. But it won't work if the genre is too different. Altina doesn't synergize with the other works.

This is the reason why authors employ similar elements in their works, so there would be synergy between their different series. An example would be 'There's no way my sister is so cute', aka oreimo, and eromanga sensei. These two works both feature the relationship of the MC and their younger sisters (which borders on incest). If you like one, you will probably like the other.

To sum it up, Yukiya works in chronological order are;

Sept 18 ==> Altina 14
Oct 18 ==> Pervlord 11
Nov 18==> Pedoartist 6
May 19==> Pervlord 12
May 19==> Pedoartist 7

Altina has dropped out of his rotation, is unpopular, and will probably stay out. Publishers won't announce that a series got axed, so the only thing you can do is wait. Let's see if I'm proven wrong in the future though.
