People was pissed off because US spec force had been identified thanks to color of skin of one it's soldiers. But... if I remember correctly there were only US, China and Russia involved in this action so... it had a sense in that situation. IMO people just overreacted.

@Plag: I'm not. I'm just someone who chooses to see the right instead of blaming the Japanese for crimes they didn't commit. I see you also lie about reading the webnovel, since it's been taken down a long time ago when the novel first came out. And all countries across the world generally have crazies, it's not unique to Japan.

That's the critical difference between me and the author of Gate. He's only little better than a Holocaust-denier or one of those people who like to talk about "states rights" when referring to the Civil War.
Parts of the novel read like an American chanting "YOU-ES-AY." Except he's doing it for Japan. And the Empire they encounter is so bafflingly stupid that you stop believing that they're anything but caricatures that are meant to make the protagonists look good.

Only found 4 errors in Volume 4 (and damn, why did the author troll us and stops at the Group heading down to the middle floors). Not that didn't like the 2 short stories, especially the first one. Was thinking they did go further in Volume 4, as I saw a scan of Volume 5 where we had the bathing scene of Lyu..... Only need to wait till April.......

ReplyDeletestarted reading the manga last week and I really enjoyed it. Then I learned that there was an anime of if on crunchyroll, I really enjoyed that too. Then it dawned on me that the name of the manga and anime are abnormally long, which usually means that it was originally an LN. lo and behold here it is, if only translated till one volume. This is perfect because I can now pick up this series to replace Overlord (which you guys are sadly not translating anymore *sigh) I can't wait till you guys catch up with the manga and anime and thank you so much for translating this series.

Though i admits it too that the anime series is also superb. About the racist problem i think that is no problem, that only happen because you're using your point of view as the reader. if you used the writer point of view, i think he is rather loyal to his country. A man who is loyal will always be a loyal man no matter what is his country. So we should not mention about it. Well if it bothers you so much, just stop reading. Thanx again.

So I'm confused. Is the whole GATE story finished already? Like there's already an ending but now people are reprinting it and making a manga adaptation that's still on going?

If the side stories affect the main history, that i don't know! I did not read them :( but i think(i'm not 100% sure) that the side stories happen after the main history has ended :)

how come there's no new Gate today? aren't there more volumes? the manga is further than this so far so I assumed there would be more.
