Intermission: Just Say the Word When You Need Help
After school on a sunny day.
Yumeko Shikiya and Teiara Basori appeared in the archery range of Tsuwabuki High School.
An Archery Club girl in a hakama approached and greeted them. Teiara lowered her head 30 degrees and bowed toward her.
“Excuse me. I’m Basori from the student council from before. Can I ask whether the club president Tone-senpai is here?”
“Ah, she is. Prez! The student council people are here!”
The short ponytail member yelled. A hakama girl soon appeared from the depths of the archery range.
Despite her iconic long, blonde hair, the girl’s posture is very serious. Her back is straight.
Teiara couldn’t help but look at her dazedly. Shikiya slightly tilted her head.
“Tone-chan, we’ll be in your care…”
“Eh, isn’t this Yumeko? Are we having the meeting today?”
Teiara looked shocked after seeing the two of them clapping their hands together.
“I didn’t know Prez was Shikiya-senpai’s friend. Well, I’ll start the explanation.”
Teiara cleared her throat and started reading the printout in her hand.
“We plan to hold club tours for the open day next month. It’s split into two parts. Each part will be 45 minutes.
Tone and Shikiya played with each other’s fingernails. She made an OK pose with her hand after hearing that.
“Sure! Leave it to me, Basori-chan!”
“...-chan. A-As for the actual itinerary, the first thing is the club introduction, followed by practice observation and finally Q&A-”
Teiara kept talking. During this time, Shikiya crossed her arms and put them on Teiara’s right shoulder. She leaned on her.
“Teiara-chan…is too… inflexible…in every way…”
“Eh? But the itinerary will be affected if we don’t do the proper explanation-”
Teiara frowned. Tone put her elbow on Teiara’s left shoulder.
“I don’t want to make it too serious either. If they are here, I may as well let them experience the cool points of archery, right? We can at least let them hold the bow even if they can’t try it.”
The pressure from both sides made Teiara sigh in annoyance.
“Then we can let the visitors participate in the practice. I’ll tell them to bring PE clothes.”
“PE clothes are nice, but they only get the whole experience with the outfit. It feels pretty awesome to put on the archery uniform, you know?”
“...I know. …Hakama…is cute…”
Teiara didn’t understand. She feigned calmness as she continued while being pinched between the soulmates.
“That’s fine, but we need a bunch of uniforms.”
“The club has spares. We can ask the graduates if there’s still not enough. Ah, but- it probably takes some effort to help them put it on. Basori-chan, can you help us out?”
Tone and Shikiya exchanged looks quietly over Teiara’s neck.
“Me? But I only know how to wear a yukata.”
“Ah, not that kind of help. I should say you will let us practice helping people wear it, kind of like a doll.”
“...Doll?”
Teiara froze after hearing the unfamiliar word. Shikiya’s fingertip slid across her back.
“Kya!? Shikiya-senpai, did you just untie my bra!?”
“I practiced. …Now I can untie it over the jacket.”
Shikiya nodded smugly.
“That doesn’t mean you have to show off now! Also, people are looking, you know?”
“Does that mean…the student council room is fine?”
“It’s not fine!”
Teiara-san covered her chest with her hands. Tone hugged her shoulders.
“Eh? Uh, Prez Tone?”
“Basori-chan, how about I lend you our changing room if you need to fix your bra? You can help us practice helping others to put on the archery uniform as well.”
“T-That’s fine. Uh, can I ask what does the practice-”
Shikiya hugged her tightly before she could finish.
“Let’s…go. Not wearing your bra properly in public, indecent…”
“Who’s fault do you think it is!? Eh? Hold on. Please don’t push me, you two!”
Teiara disappeared into the changing room after the attack of the gal partners.
The Archery Club members witnessed the scene from afar- all of them then gave up and resumed their practice.
