DeleteAinz mentions the 7th later in the ln, cant recall if vol 6 or 7, Her real name is still unknown, they only call her as "Lastborn of Pleiades", so maybe her name is Eta for 7th or Omega for last, And she is the only human npc in nazarick, but she is immortal.
DeleteZeta is arachnid as the 6th battle maid, and the 7th battle maid is Lastborn of Pleiades.

I didnt expect an anime so soon...please dont drop the LN once the anime is on!
Since this is a dark storyline, I'd like the style to be like that of fujiko-lupin anime, you know, in line with the novel illustration. also that skeleton army CG is lame, I hate CGs...
ReplyDeleteYou and me both. One of the reasons why I don't watch much anime and usually stick to reading manga and light novels. But, seeing as Overlord is one of my favorite series atm I'm going to watch it and if the anime is good I'll overlook the CG.

DeleteSidonia Kishi was the first Ffull Cg anime i enjoyed. It actually did it good. As it is mostly about mecha fighting anyways.
But as i see it. CG will be used for mass battles and alike.
Simply as it's easyer to do.
So most of the story will be normal Anime drawstyle.
Which already looks great.
And some parts will be CG:
-Armys
-Bustling random people in the city
-Etc.
Cost cutting ^^.
Consider that japans economy is not eell there willbe cost cutting. It will be either cramming several chapters that could have ben epic in a single episode or use cg. I for one prefer the later one and i would welvome it even if the gore (intestine and the like) be cg as well

momonga and cocytus seem to have removed details of their bodies are not as great as the drawings of the novel....
ReplyDelete I did some research about the directors of Overlord anime and I got a little worried.
ReplyDeleteMain Director: Naoyuki ITOU, I saw things like Kanon, Yugioh, digimon, one piece, and at best a unit director for episode 7 of hellsing ultimate (considering gore experience to be the main job requirement for overlord). If he wants to get better reputation for directing anime for mature audiences doing well with Overlord would be very important.
Character Design: Takahiro YOSHIMATSU, notable for Dragonball, slayers, hunter x, trigun
Madhouse has high quality, but I'm just wondering what others think about what to expect considering the fortes and anime experience of the directors. Is the gore going to be neutered? Considering the story, overlord without gore and having digimon characters is like wet toast without butter. It makes my testicles shrink from the dread of a "Cutesy Overlord".
Scholek - I don't have the same confidence in Madhouse, the last that I liked a lot was Claymore, good quality of art, design and atmosphere, and above all his dark touch.-=)

ReplyDeleteI really, really, really hope they include the War Arc, where Ainz fights the 200,000 soldiers. But if it's gonna be a 1 seasonal title, meh. I don't think it'd reach...
