For example if you are fighting with melee weapons. You are using sword and suddenly you changed to a spear. Entirely different strategies, different strenghts and weaknesses. It would take atleast a little time to get used to it... And when fighting this time could mean difference between life and death. Hell scratch spear. Even different kinds of sword sometimes feel entirely different in combat. I hope you understand what I mean. :)
actually, Suimei's magic is using Constellation System, where he learn when walking with Lefille that that world have different Constellation, that's why his magic is lacking power. after found that, he re-calibrate his magic using the current Constellation. he also using the Mana Furnance this time to enhance his power.

There was one where Suimei mentioned spirit magic is from a higher dimension and thus resistant to lower-dimension magic. The mazoku have spirit magic from the evil god. Mages have some spirit magic from the elements, which are blessed by the Goddess. Lefille is half-spirit. This ime Suimei also used spirit magic.
So he hasnt found effective magic, but is instead just owerpowering them? Such a large power must have stings attached though... Thanks for the chapter

This chapter felt like Fate/Stay Night honestly. You had the main character who dreams of saving people philosophically denying the idea of hero, but attempting to be one anyways.
I just played the Emiya ost on loop and it fit so well.

... Do they actually have ties in their civilization, or is he just wearing the one he transferred with? That type of coat is more common, so unless it's the one he brought with him, it could still be from that world.
We didnt saw other magicians, so we cannot judge him. Maybe hes just really humble? One things is sure he is young so his magic is not yet at full capacity but he most likely inherited his father talent in magic. And slight spoiler I heard somewhere. If I remember right his father was strong enough to take this 1 milion army of Mazoku head-on.

What you said made no sense...he was asking where he gets all that mana from...his mana furnace must contain an ocean size mana pool from the amount of spells he's using and how strong they are.
I like this I can't wait for the next. I hope he eventually realizes that this notion of keeping everything secret is becomming counter productive in this world and could possibly endanger his friends. Not to mention that now he's likely targeted by the nobility of this nation and that even if he tries to not get involved in this war considering where he's going it's inevitable and since his friends have been taught magic from this world it means now even if they return and don't know about magic here their in even more danger. I can't wait to see what's next I hope he starts working together with his friends even if they won't be on the same team but actually keep in touch as they are now trapped with enemies on both sides.
