Thanks to all those who read volume 1 of a Tale of Two Shadows, which had its official release in 2015.
This is one of those stories that has been festering in the back of my mind and putting it on paper, or more appropriately a word doc, has been tougher than I imagined. It's also my first ever title that has been published on a platform like Amazon (which did better than I expected).
From the way this volume has ended it's quite clear that they'll be more, in fact there is a planned 5 more volumes that tells the tale of Faro and his friends, taking them from the inner mountain city of Kéi Meóng to bandit territory, warscapes and beyond. The name 'A Tale of Two Shadows' was used because of a running theme that will play throughout the series, where things often come in twos and not always will that be evident in what's told.
Often when writing it's hard to think where these characters, settings and even worlds fits into the grand scheme of things but with Faro's story the hints to a wider and richer universe have already been hinted at. But don't expect to see any usual or out of place things just yet (wait until Volume 5 first).
Lastly I want to thank those that allowed me to host this story, my artists (both for the cover and chapters) as well as the people that talked some of the finer details with me. Volume 2 continues the story of Faro and his lost friends but the two volumes after that is where things start taking a darker turn, though you'll have to wait a while to see what trouble stirs by then. Hope to see you next volume!
